J nine designs, llc, founded in 2006, is an interior design firm created by Jeanine Sipple Dougherty in the Phoenix, Arizona area. From a Midwestern family where her grandfather had natural talents in drawing architectural details and her father’s family of scientific curiosity, a profession in Interior Design seemed a natural fit. She drew on her instincts and inspiration and developed a design style that is a balance between creativity and logic, linked to intuitive sociology.
Jeanine is NCIDQ certified, which distinguishes an educated designer from other “decorators” in the market. It’s important to hire a trained and certified designer for your project.
With experience in both residential and commercial projects, she encourages her clients to take chances and expand their curiosities.
The Process

The design process begins with an initial consultation to determine how to meet the client’s needs and vision. A proposal based upon those needs is prepared for review and approval. Upon receipt of approved proposal, design commences and design concepts are presented for your approval. Purchasing services and project management services offered to ensure materials are procured and installed as per the approved design. Finally, on-site installation coordination and photography captures the beautiful results!
I work directly with architects, project managers, general contractors and sub-contractors to conveying all selections, finishes, and details of the project. Through effective communication, I walk the client through each phase of the design process.
